Well, its over, the trip that is.

We manage to squeeze everything into our 50 litre trolley bags, and I reckon we’ll be under 20kg each bag. Proof will be at Check in. For nearly 5 weeks away, and restricted shopping opportunities its still a significant achievement. These Kathmandu trolley bags are easy to travel with  my 70 litre one is 12 years old, has been everywhere, is battered but everything still works. They are easy to see on the carousel, especially with our orange and pink cattle eartag bag tags.

I’ll review the trip after I get home, recover and have time to reflect back over the last 4-5 weeks. There won’t be much negative stuff, maybe a few things I’d do slightly differently.

As I write we are at Sydney Domestic – waiting for our flight back to Dubbo.

No issues with lost bags, no hold ups with stuff we declared, very helpful Border Force people when I stuffed up my initial immigration thingy saying I hadn’t been in Africa – tired and being a d….head!

Exhausted…… but a trip well worth the effort and cost.
